Islam is the main pillar in any matter. The thing that caught our attention is that the IIUM logo is distinctive, each shape symbolizes a special and very important symbol in our lives. For example, the Qur'an in the middle of the logo, it seems to say that the Qur'an is the main source and guide for all Muslims, and it is also the main source in the development of knowledge.
From observation we can relate in IIUM gallery that:
1. Sustainable cities and communities There is a strong link between the quality of life in cities and how cities draw on and manage the natural resources available to them. To date, the trend towards urbanization has been. accompanied by increased pressure on the environment and accelerated demand for basic services, infrastructure, jobs, land, and affordable housing. As we can see, IIUM's development showed us the stages of developing sustainable cities which balance nature and growth. Development can be changed by combining greater productivity and innovation with lower costs and reduced environmental impacts, while providing increased opportunities for consumer choices and sustainable lifestyles. It also gives a positive impact towards people by having good pollution.
Education for sustainable development is also an educational mission to find a balance between human well-being and economic development along with cultural traditions and respect for natural resources and the environment. The educational process practiced or the culture of preserving the environment is more fun and stimulates the mind in addition to increasing curiosity. This approach emphasizes their ability to explore, experiment, experiment and interact with friends and a sustainable environment.
3. Life below water The oceans cover more than 70 per cent of the surface of our planet and play a key role in supporting life on earth. They are the most diverse and important ecosystem, contributing to global and regional elemental cycling, and regulating the climate. The ocean. provides natural resources including food, materials, substances, and energy.
For example, we can see from Tasik Maryam's then and now. There are a lot of changes happening at the lake. It gave a negative impact toward fish, frogs and also other creatures who lived in the water. Other than that, it became an unattractive view because the lake is dry. Oceans, seas and other marine resources are essential to human well-being and social and economic development worldwide.
